Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Galdesign collects, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Account details: your username, your name if you give one, your role, and when you last signed in. Passwords are kept only as one-way hashes.
- Your work: the searches you run, the delivery ZIP code you enter (kept in your browser), and the corrections you make to product facts.
- Searches: what you search for, to run the search; words from searches that the app doesn't know yet are kept, without your name, to teach it design vocabulary.
- A sign-in cookie: one cookie that keeps you signed in. We use no advertising or analytics cookies.
- Server logs: requests and errors, which can include your IP address, kept for security and to fix problems.
How we use it
To run Galdesign for you: sign-in and search; to keep it secure; and to improve the catalog and search. We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
Who processes it for us
- Hosting and database: Railway, in the United States.
- AI providers: words from searches, and product names, descriptions and photos, are sent to our AI providers (currently DeepSeek and Anthropic) to understand searches and read products. No account details go with them. These providers may process data outside the United States.
- Stores and affiliate networks: when you follow a link to a store, you leave Galdesign; the store, and for an affiliate link the affiliate network, may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
Account details and your work, while your account is open. Sign-in sessions expire, and server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting. When an account is deleted, its sign-in details go with it; the studio's workspace data is deleted when the studio asks.
Your choices
You can see and change your work in the app at any time, and change your password in Settings. To get a copy of your information, or to have your account and its information deleted, contact us below; we'll answer within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, and we'll honor them.
Children
Galdesign is a professional tool, not meant for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
When we change this policy, we update the date above, and for significant changes we'll say so in the app.
